What Causes A Sensitive Blister On The Tip Of The Tongue?

I have one small white bump-thing towards front and top of my tongue. It sort of seems like a nerve ending that is popped out. I say that because ( I think ) I had a similar popped-out nerve when I had shingles but that was on my stomach. This is more sensitive with some foods, usually citrus, than others, but the sensitivity is rather minor in all cases. For example, I just ate an orange and then I noticed it again, otherwise there is no pain, just weird and weird looking. total protrusion length is about 1/16th inch and diameter is similar or a little less - it is a weird little thing - 100% white.
