What Causes A Small Hard Lump On The Finger Tip?

Hi I have a very small clear hard lump (going to white around the clear pin point) , slightly raised, on the back of my finger tip ... wright hand first finger (next to thumb). Initially I expected it would go away but its been a few months. I have not experienced this before. warm regards Kerry

This kind of lump on finger can be due to infective abscess or ganglion (tendon swelling).
So better to consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination of finger and x ray and ultrasound examination of finger to confirm te diagnosis.
Surgical removal of lump is the treatment of choice.
So consult orthopedic doctor and discuss all these.
