What Causes A Small Lump In The Anal Canal?

Hi Dr. Hw r u? It kind of embarrassing question to me, I have a small lump at the end of the anal opening, it is colorless and tender it doesn t hurt unless I have constipation & when that happens I can see small blood stains on the toilet paper..the problem is I don t know how long I have it cause I ignored it for along time that it seems I had it all along, i have no family history of colorectal or anal cancer I have no other medical condition and I am 25 yrs old female, I don t drink & I don t smoke my weight is 52 kilograms I hope u can help me figure out what it is cause I am too embarrassed to go to the doctor

Hello Dear. I can understand your embarrassment. But when we have some health issues we should not neglect it. Health is wealth.
Anyways you are most likely to have piles or haemarroids. Its a condition where the veins at the anal canal swell up and when there is solid stools it will cause friction and bleed. Nothing to worry. Its a most common thing in many people. You can go to a surgeon and get examined. If it can be cured with medicines and laxatives the surgeon may put you on medications for sometimes. But if its bit big, the surgeon may suggest you to undergo an operation.
Nothing to worry. Dont think of cancer and all those stuffs. At your age it is very unlikely.
