What Causes A Small Lump Inside The Fold Of Labia Near Clitoris?

I have a small lump inside the fold of my labia near my clitoris. It s hard and under the skin and seems to move around. Im not sure if it moves, but depending on the position I m in sometimes it s more difficult for me to get a grip on it. It s painful and the area around it is very sore. Besides the slight swelling, the skin around it looks normal so I don t think it s an ingrown hair or cyst. I ve had both of those before and this is really different. Is it something I should have checked out immediately, or should I give it a few days to see if it resolves itself? I only noticed it today.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You can treat it at home and give it a few days to see if it resolves. If it worsens or does not improve then you can see your doctor for assessment.

It is possible that it may be an infection of a follicle or gland in the area.

Cleaning the area with an antiseptic and apply a topical antibiotic may help.

I hope this helps
