What Causes A Small Painful Scab In Lower Back?

hello, I have a small scab on my lower back. its been there for months. my partner tried picking and squeezing it as we thought maybe it was an ingrown hair. it hurt ALOT and only a hard bit came out. then it left a hole. I thought it may clear up after that. but it hasn t. my lower back has been rather sore im wondering now if it may be related to this bumpy scab.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such skin lesion must not be tempered unless it is being diagnosed, else the chances of infection increases, now just wait for some time and keep the lesion under observation for any changes if this does not go on changing and cause no clinical symptoms then this could be nonspecific one, still as long as the skin lesion is concern clinical observation is must because this is the only way for diagnosis, at the most some steroid local preparation can be used and best option would be "Beclomethasone cream " hope this information helps, take care.
