What Causes A Small Soft Lump On The Eyelid?

Hi, I woke this morning and saw a small soft lump next to my right side eyebrow. It doesn t hurt but it s tender to touch. I ve been feeling tension and tenderness to touch on the right side of my head and right side of my face for a few months now. I had a MRI in January of this year. Results can back and The Neurologist said everything looked fine just had signs of mild sinusitis. He said I didn t need any medication for it. Since then I still feel pressure and tenderness on the right side of my head mainly near the temple and face and near my ear. What could it be? Also should I get a CT scan?

Hello,

By your history and description, the possibility of simple eyelid cyst or boil (infection) is more likely.

No need to go for CT scan directly. First, consult an ophthalmologist and get done a clinical examination of that swelling.

You may need antibiotic, painkiller and anti-inflammatory drugs for 5-7 days.

If the swelling is improving then no need to worry. But if swelling is persistent then you may be advised to undergo CT scan.

So first consult an ophthalmologist and discuss all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
