What Causes A Soft Lump At The Sternoclavicular Joint?
Hello, I am actually a physiatrist but do not have experience directly with this issue. My husband has developed a soft lump at the sternoclavicular joint that is non painful in nature. He travels a lot and I have had a hard time getting him to a specialist. He has suffered no weight loss, nor is it tender to the touch, and nor does it look inflamed. I noticed this the first week of August. I understand that this could likely be an arthritic related issue, but as a physician of course am concerned for the worst.. I finally have him seeing an internal medicine doctor Monday but guess I would like anything more someone could offer at this time.
Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you with thanks for a consult!
I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns according to the latest medical guidelines.
You need to take him to a Physician as scheduled to see what it is.
Testing needed:- Ultrasound. Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology Test.
The treatment goes accordingly. Don't worry, just follow it up. May be it is not that worst as you are thinking. In either way prompt diagnosis is needed.
