Hi there is a really small lump on my daughters head. It s just below her hair line at the left of her spine. It doesn t hurt her and I really have to look for it to find it. If she bends her head forward I cant feel it as its under her skin when she stands straight I can feel it.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your daughter's problem can be lipoma or sebaceous cyst. If there is is a center pore then it can be sebaceous cyst. It is a benign leision. But if there is no such pore and movable then and soft then most likely lipoma. Lipoma is also harmless. It is better to have an examination by a general surgeon to rule out the condition. If it bothers you then better go for excision and histopathology. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
