Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes A Sore Back Post Non Surgical Appendectomy?
I have been prescribed diclofenac after a non surgical appendicitis to decrease inflammation. However, once the dose wears off my back is very sore and I am very bloated. Are these symptoms due to the meds? I was on 56 hours of saline and 48 hours of antibiotics by IV so maybe that s the reason for the bloating?
1. Although there are many conditions that can cause mild to severe discomfort, most of the time, pain in the right lower abdomen is nothing to worry about and will go on its own in a day or two.
PS. If you are experiencing persistent discomfort, you should see a doctor or visit an ER [emergency room], they will either send you home with the treatment plan or admit you to the hospital for further observation.
2. It is best to avoid any medications unless prescribed by your doctor as part of your treatment plan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Munish Sood
