Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes A Sore Tongue And Redness On The Lips’ Corners?
I have an extremely sore tongue that appears cracked down the middle. My inside lower lip is also irritated as one corner of my mouth. There are no visible sores, just redness. My throat is also red and becoming sore upon swallowing. Symptoms have persisted for a couple days now.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of soreness on tongue which seems to be due to tongue burn which could be due to vitamin deficiency, eating of excessive hot food substance, improper oral hygiene and due to systemic pathology such as Lichen planus. It could be due to dry mouth syndrome.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take diet rich in multivitamins. Avoid excess stress and drink plenty of water and fluids. Take becosule capsule as well. Visit oral physician once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Apply dologel on finger and rub it over area for 5-10 mins. You should maintain complete oral hygiene.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
