What Causes A Sore Tummy With A Dull Ache In The Center?
I have a 12 year old son who has been complaining of a sore tummy for the past 4 days. He has been having bowel movements some have been runny others fairly normal. We have been feeding him a healthy diet...no artificial sweeteners and no fast food or anything that would bring on stomach upset. He describes it as a dull ache in the mid section. His appetite is fairly on target. There is a family history of diabetes but he is not showing any other symptoms (thirst, frequent urination).
hello.. Thanks for asking query. Pain in tummy center has many causes , you mentioned that your son has runny bowel movements i,e diarrhea which can be the cause of tummy pain, and any bacterial/viral infection can cause pain abdomen ,so i would advise you to do following tests in local clinic;1,stool analysis 2. CBC 3.urine analysis and your child need physical examination by doctor ,to diagnose finally, but 80 % abdominal pains are not serious ,need simple pain killer medication if tests are normal. i hope you got the answer, hope it will be beneficial. ] Regards. Dr M Ibrar
