The exposure to radioactive radiation is a risk factor for thyroid cancer.
The spot on your thyroid CT is an important finding that need additional test to clarify the nature of this spot. The thyroid ultrasound is the first recommended test in your case. If the result is a suspicious nodule than your doctor may recommend a test called FNAB. This test will definitely give all the necessary information if you have a thyroid cancer or not.
The thyroid hormone panel test is also important to clarify the thyroid gland function. My advice is to consult physically a local endocrinologist for the test ,the definitive diagnosis and the right treatment(if this will be necessary).
