Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother is 79 years old. For several weeks she has been experiencing severe burning in the groin area down to pelvis. This severe burning only occurs when she stands. It causes so much pain that she can barely walk. She has had a recent pelvic exam, blood work, x-rays and a CT Scan on stomach by her gynecologist and nothing is showing up. She also has enlarged veins in her legs which causes pain. She is not overweight but she does smoke. Please advise the type specialist I should seek out to diagnose this problem. Thank you. Pam. What Does My CT Scan Report Indicate?
Hi, Your mother s symptoms seem to be related to Coccygodynia. I recommend discussing with an orthopedist about this. In the meantime, I recommend taking Gabapentine ore Pregabalin for the pain. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
