Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
First of all i am 67 yrs. with a history of coronary heart disease. I have had two stent procedures in the last 20 years with the last placement 10 years ago. I have just completed all heart exams up to the point of angioplasty. My vitals of indicated low blood pressure and low pulse. 110/60 60 pulse rate. Every other test is normal except a spot was detected on heart, it is still being debated as of this day. Question what may this be?
* As per my clinical experience, the low blood pressure and pulse may be related to compensated doses of beta blocker medications.
* The spot on echo report might be indicative of old ischemic regions of the heart, which has healed after angioplasty and remained as fibrosed gray matter of particular myocardium.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
