i am having frequent chestpains....if i pressed it, it doesn't hurt....to relieve it i just put pressure on the area...most of the time it happens to the left side...until it radiates....it's like a stabbing pain...i had undergone ECG...and the result was normal.....they say...they are giving me pain killers...but it won't work....doctors say, they can't hear any murmur or anything unusual....next week i'll be going to a cardiologist..i just wanna know what's wrong...even if it's not a heart problem...doctors aren't convinced that it is a heart problem....they always say,em too young and i look healthy....by the way em 18 and female...
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. By your history and description, possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more. Your pain is relieved by applying pressure, this is characteristic of musculoskeletal pain. Cardiac pain will not subside by this. Your ecg is also normal. So possibility of heart related pain is low. But better to consult cardiologist and get done stress test. If this is normal then you are not having heart pain for sure. Sometimes stress and anxiety can also cause left sided chest pain. So if you have stress and anxiety, then avoid them, be relax and calm. Apply warm water pad on affected areas. Along with painkiller, also take muscle relaxant drugs. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
