What Causes A Sudden Itching And Pain On The Toes?
Woke up early and went to another room barefooted on carpet to turn up heat. When got back in bed big toe and toe next to big toe started to hurt, itch. Looked like small pimples on toe. As day went on, toe hurt and itching. Bottom of big toe hurts, as if I stepped on something sharp, but I didn t? Any thoughts?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Itching and pain on toe is suggestive of some kind of infection. Fungal infection of the toes is common and is characterised by itching. Presence of pimples on toe suggest an insect bite on the toes. Injury from sharp object would result in bleeding and pain but not itching. A clinical assessment of the foot is necessary to know the cause of itching and pain. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and thus treatment.
