my wife who is 64 and presently suffering through a bronchial cold is on the generic anti biotic smz/tmp ds 800-160 twice a day in conjunction with the nerve blocker neuronten or the generic of it. she is experiencing some swelling in the ankle area. Ive read the one of the side effect of Neurontin is swelling in the arms or legs. I read throught the above anti biotic and I did not note any swelling of the joints or limbs. Is this an allergic reaction to the combination of the two or just from Neurontin?
