What Causes A Swollen Jaw?

my grandson has a swollen jaw on the left side along the jawline. It hurts very badly when he chews and when it is touched. Does this sound like a impacted tooth, swollen gland, or lymph node? He was born three months early and has many problems with his teeth and surgeries.

thanks for your query, i have gone through your query. the swelling could be because of the tooth infection might be from the wisdom tooth. it can be enlarged lymphnode secondary to tooth infection. consult a oral physician and get radiograph done to rule out origin of infection. then treat accordingly either root canal treatment or extraction. you can take a course of antibiotics after consulting a oral physician. i hope my answer will help you. take care.
