What Causes A Swollen Lymph Node In The Neck After A Head Injury?
I suffered a head, neck and arm injury to my left side almost a week ago. I just noticed that I have a swollen lymph node on the lower left side of my neck? Is this common with these types of injuries? Should I be concerned? Or will it eventually go down?
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your lympadenopathy.
Yes, it is common that lymph node of same side of neck will be swollen because there are chances of infection to wound or if there is wound the lymphatic tissue (lymph node) needs to get ready to fight these issue so it starts reacting and becomes swollen.
You don't need to worry about it, you may need a course of antibiotics like levofloxicin only after consulting your doctor.
Hope the answer to your query, wish you a healthy life ahead write us back and provide your feedback.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
