Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes A Swollen Lymph Node Under The Left Ear?
A hard Swollen lymph node under left ear the size of a marble after getting bit by many times by mosquitoes last year September 17th 2016 and one white spot on back of left side of throat causing sore throat and infrequent shocking pain in lymph node and cold like symptoms.
Any sort of inflammation (or infection) or nothing at all can cause lymph node swelling. That being said there are several features that make a lymph node suspicious for malignancy. Having cancer. The size (under 1/2 inch is not much, larger is a concern), if the size is getting larger over months. If it is NOT painful and if it is NOT mobile but stuck down. If there are spreading numbers of them. Of course I cannot say in your particular situaiton without directly looking/feeling the node/nodes
