What Causes A Temporary Loss Of Vision?

I recently temporarily lost some vision in my right eye. I also felt sick and weak when it happened. I went to er and was diagnosed with amourosis and probable blood clot. I was in hospital for two days. They did cat scan of head, neck and didn t find anything showing wrong. Since I ve left the hospital I now have a,whooshing sound in my left ear that seems to go with my heartbeat and doesn t go away. I m concerned as I read this can indicate a vascular problem or dissection. They did a ct scan with contrast to check and told me it was normal and I should see an ent. Advice?

Hi,

The blood clot caused that. It can be the cut off blood supply to the nerves for sometime leading to transient loss of vision.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
