Thank you, I didn t expect a doctor to pop up so thank you very much. I was googling about a spot on the top of my head that has been tender for 6 months or so. It s odd because it is not painful at all but I can just touch my hair in that area and my scalp is sensitive. I started getting a little worried since it has been for so long. Hello. An old infection of the hair follicle i.e. folliculitis which has now become organised is a possibility. I wouldn't worry about it if it does not pain on its own. However, any change in the character of the pain, increase in severity, pus discharge, or increase in the size of the swelling warrants a visit to a clinic to get it examined. Hope this helps.
