What Causes A Tinging And Squeezing Sensation In The Chest After Coughing?

I have a cold and developed cough yesterday. After heavy coughing i felt a tingling sensation on my chest. Later on, after coughing again, my heart felt like it was being squeezed, like there was something gripping it. Should i be worried. I am 39 - female

Hello there,
What you are describing are concerning symptoms. You need to urgently get an ECG done as this pain and discomfort are like anginal pain. Please visit a cardiologist who can examine you and suggest suitable tests. Although it could be muscular or also due to lung infections or
gastric pain but its always better to rule out angina.
