What Causes A Twinge In Groin Area After Stretching?

I have had a slight groin twinge for a couple of years now. It usually appears when I am playing with one of the grandchildren or when stretching my leg getting out of a car or half way round the golf course. I am 72 years old and otherwise very healthy. Paul Robinson

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that there might be having osteoartheritis of hip joint producing stiffness of hip joint muscles and hip joint producing this typical pain or discomfort.
Go for x-ray hip joint for having osteo-artheritis and other degenerative changes.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
Physiotherapy will be helpful.
Take some Calcium and vitamin A and D supplements.
Ok and take care.
I find this answer helpful
