What Causes A Weak Urine Stream When On Iron Pills?

I am a 58 year old male. My doctor recently put me on iron pills twice a day (ferrous sulfate 325 mg) to deal with anemia. Suddenly, after taking it for about a week and a half, my urine stream got very weak. I have trouble starting the team as well. I ve been on prostate medication for years and had things pretty much under control. Could the iron be causing this new issue?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The low urine stream is less likely to be related to iron tablets. It is mainly your prostate that is causing problems. I would recommend you to get Ultrasound of prostate done again to look for its size and volume. And continue iron supplements.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
