What Causes A White Headed Pimple Below The Toe?

Hello, I have, what looks like a white-head pimple just below my left great toe, and second toe. I had this about 2 years ago, and it went away. This past winter, I had the same thing on my left index finger, just above the knuckle. It went away on it s own, as well. Now, this problem is back in the same, exact place on my left foot. What s new, is that it is swollen and red around what appears to be a whitehead. I thought this was a food allergy the first and second time it happened. Now, I am concerned. It is painful only when I press on it, and my shoes cause pain when I walk. Any ideas?

Hi,

It looks either to be a cyst or an abscess secondary to infection. So once get it checked to rule out what exactly it is as recurring and a clinical check is a must for diagnosis.

For now you can apply antiseptic ointment over it and do warm compresses [not hot] that can aid in its drainage . Avoid wearing tight shoes and for very long duration and let it stay airy.

Do not try to lance it at home to avoid the spread of infection. If needed Incision and Drainage can be done if it does not get better.
