What Causes A White Patch On The Lower Lip?

10 months back a white patch came on my lower lip. I dont know whether it is a bolli disease patch or not.. I have consulted near by skin doctor.. if lip biting habbit is there means also patches will come or what.. I have lip biting habit from my childhood.. white patch came now.. now am 25 years old.?some times it burned will happened so please give me suggestion for removing white patch on lip.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a white patch over the lower lip along with lip biting habit seems to be most probably due to excessive keratin deposition over the mucosa known as Frictional Keratosis due to continuous biting of the lip..
It can also be due to Leukoplakia formation that also occur due to continuous irritation but it causes cellular changes also..
It can however be due to fungal infection also..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Biopsy can help in diagnosis and treatment can be one accordingly..
In case of hyperkeratosis cessation of tongue bite habit will resolve..
In case of Leukoplakia also cessation of habit along with multivitamins and anti-oxidants will help..
In case of fungal infection antifungal medications will help..
