Hello,

You have a history of chronic gastritis with abdominal bloating. The most common cause of bloating is lactose or food intolerance, fluid retention, Indigestion, constipation & IBS.

Abdominal bloating may also be indicative of gall stone or gall bladder disease, it can be due to developing ascites & some developing liver disorder.

Stay away from oily food, avoid junk food & addictions if any. Take fiber rich food, stay well hydrated, Take laxatives at bedtime.

Visit ER, get physically examined. Get Endoscopy, Blood tests, Stool test & Imaging tests to assess the cause of the symptoms. Your treatment will depend upon the pathology detected.

In the meantime, you can take antacids & PPI's to get better. Take medications under the local treating doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
