What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Shortness Of Breath Post Recovering From Typhoid Fever?

I got Typhoid Fever in Fiji back in April 2015. I got better after about a month with the help of 2 antibiotics. Ever since then, I have had digestive issues. I ve gained weight. My energy is down. Sometimes my stomach gets as big as a 6 month pregnant woman and I am short of breath. I have to use ex-lax too often. I think there is something wrong with my gut. I think all the bacteria is messed up in there. I cannot afford Obama care. What can I do?

Hi,

Typhoid involves inflammation of intestines also you have been given two antibiotics both of these cause perishment of healthy intestinal flora.

Which makes the gut more infection probed & digestion is disturbed (that's why constipation).

-You need investigations to rule out/find any infection of intestines, food allergies, autoimmune /inflammatory conditions& treat them specifically with your doctor's advise.
-Replacement of lactobacilli would help to heal.
