What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Urinary Retention?
Hi. I am a female in her early 50 s. My whole abdomen is bloated from just below the chest to all the way below the belly. My ob-gyn did a internal sonogram (3 weeks ago and again today) and said it is not a female issue. What could it be? There is so much pressure it feels like it is pressing down on the vagina to somewhat push it out and there is pressure pushing up into middle of chest and pushing out toward the naval. I have asked my MD if there is a scan I can have and have been waiting for 3 weeks to hear back from him. It just in the past 2 days is kind of squishy urine out and I run to the restroom. Sometimes I go a little and sometimes normal amount, but it s every 30 - 60 minutes sometimes. And it s doing the same with my BM s the last 2 days... I just go a little at a time and multiple times.
Due to bloating, urinary and bowel frequency is increased. You need to undergo complete blood picture, liver function tests, kidney function tests, abdominal and pelvic ultrasound imaging. Please do consult a gastroenterologist for further evaluation and initiating appropriate treatment.
