Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a pretty good spill on my mountain bike about 8 months ago and I believe I had broke. A few ribs(rebroke) from previous accident. I have gained about 15 pounds since then but I am always bloated and it still hurts when I lay on my stomach. It s very uncomfortable and hard to breath when laying on my stomach. No matter what position I m in I feel bloated. The effected ribs are on the left front rib cage about two to 3 ribs below my nipple kind about a 10 o clock potion if looking forward. Left arm would be 9 o clock. Just trying to give enough reference.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, I had gone through the history given here, and from that I could say that it is not the fractured rib caused the bloating symptom. Bloating may not be the precise term but it may contained other discomfort also as long as the digestive function is concern, like burning sensation, retching, chest pain, over all it is the hyperacidity could be there and it may not be due to the fractured rib, still it is most advisable to get done the x-ray chest to ruled out the complications if it is ever there because of the fractured rib. I would suggest to try Tab Omeprazole 40 mg with Domperidone 20m mg once in day. hope this information helps.
