What Causes Abdominal Bloating While Suffering From Kidney Stones?
My husband has kidney stones that right now are not causing too much problems, he will be getting them blasted soon, he is haso a type 2 diabetic on Metaformin. He main complaint lately is that he feels full all day or fills up quickly when he eats.
Considering the situation of your husband, I think that this abdominal bloating is related to the Diabet. Diabetic people suffer sometimes from a form called gastroparesis, when the food remains for longer time in the stomach creating to the person a sense of fullness. This is a very common symptoms that sometimes is accompanied with constipation, reflux etc. There is something to consider if a diabetic suffers from abdominal bloating: the level of glucose. It may rise abnormally. I do highly recommend that you go to your diabetic doctor and exam the level of glucose. Most probable he will give you Insulin as a change of therapy.
Also to confirm the diagnose of gastroparesis maybe they will go for some endoscopic exams, but you have to decide these things in the hospital.
Do not worry, and do not lose time.
All the best, Dr. Eni
