What Causes Abdominal Contractions Along With Diarrhoea And Nausea During Pregnancy?

Hi I m 23 weeks pregnant and I have been feeling painless contractions l, my stomach will get very tight for 2 minutes at a time and the feeling has been there for a good 3 hours. I have been having diarrhea and nausea as well. Is there something I can do about this. I have a 2 yr old at home who worries.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The abdominal contractions could possibly be due to the diarrhea you are experiencing but as you are pregnant I would recommend a doctors visit. False-labour will have to be ruled out before treating you for the diarrhea.

For now, please make sure you drink plenty of fluids and eat something clean and avoid fatty, fried, spicy, oily food. Please do consider visiting a doctor as you are pregnant and you should not be taking a chance with such things.

Best wishes.
