Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an 18 year old daughter that has been having black stools for the past 2 days. She has had cramping as well. She went to the doctor last month and they did a cbc, thyroid, and metabolic panel. Everything came back normal. They mentioned that she may be allergic to gluten. Could this produce black stools? She is a freshman in college and probably doesn't eat well. She is a straight A student. The stomach problems didn't start until the start of college.
