What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Breast Pain After Taking Metronidazole?

I was diagnosed with bv and my doctor prescribed metrodinazole tablets after second day of taking them I began to spot and eventually began bleeding like my normal period. it went away as soon as I finished the medication only for 7days, but now I m supposed to start my perdio I ve had awful cramps and my breast hurt on the sides.. Ive read many women have similar problems .. Is this something normal?? I ve also had the essure procedure and have been on birth control for the past three months

Hello,

Taking metronidazole can often cause spotting and cramps. There is no reason to worry. You can't be pregnant since you are taking the pills that are highly effective.
