What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Diarrhea Upon Having An Infusion?

I had an infusion on Thursday and had stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting on Saturday. It normally take 48 hours after I eat for the digestive track to react. I know this due to my allergy to milk. I didn t eat or drink any milk product but suffered for a full 24 hrs. This was my third annual infusion and first discomfort,I just wanted to know if this was a drug reaction? General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It can be a minor drug reaction.

As of now, drink plenty of water and take bed rest.

You can take analgesics like Mefenamic Acid or Tramadol for cramps.

If symptoms persist you can consult a physician and plan for an ultrasound scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
