What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Lower Backache After An Abortion?

I had an abortion 6 weeks ago due to the health risks for me. Since then,, I have had one normal period. For the past week, I have had stomach pain and cramping on and off and pain around my tailbone. I ve had some blood following a BM for the past year. My GP said I have a small fissure (so?) causing it. I don t know if the abortion is related to the stomach and tailbone pain but it is my most recent medical procedure done so I included. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Monday as a regularly scheduled appointment. Polops were found 3 years ago. Is it possible these pains are related to the abortion or is something more sinister at work? Colon rectal cancer is in my family.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

According to your description provisionally it seems to be due to the fissure. A fever is not present uterine infection due to abortion procedure can be ruled out. But to be on safe side you must get USG abdomen done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
