What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Pain During Pregnancy?
Hello there, I m 24 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my second child. I ve been having cramping lately, no bleeding.. But these last few hours I have been in quite a bit of discomfort and pain.. I had a prenatal check up today and mentioned it to my Dr and she didn t seem concerned.. I m beginning to worry as the cramping isn t getting any better and slightly worse now.
Do not concern regarding this matter. Some abdominal pain during pregnancy is normal as your uterus is expanding, and your ligaments are stretching. To relieve sharp pains or cramps from stretched abdominal muscles and ligaments you must take more rest and take a warm bath or shower. Regular exercise will strengthen and tone your abdominal muscles.
Here are some advice which you should follow.
Eat small, frequent meals. Do moderate exercise regularly. Choose fiber-rich foods including fruits and vegetables. Drink plenty of water. Empty your bladder often. Rest as often as you can.
And at last even if you feel the constant discomfort, do not hesitate to consult your doctor and go through examination and some investigations like ultrasonography and blood tests. All the best.
