What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Pink Vaginal Spotting?

Hello, my 25 year old daughter is 9 days late today. She has been having some light cramping and today she is experiencing some very light pinkish bleeding. She has taken 3 home pregnancy tests and they have all come back neg. Her periods are normal (28 days). Could she be pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Symptoms could be due to hormonal imbalance, pregnancy.
Bleeding could be due to implantation bleeding as it was light and associated with the cramp.
I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination, blood HCG, reproductive hormone analysis and USG scan to confirm the cause.
Pregnancy test sometime give false negative result.
Better to go for most accurate test, Blood HCG to confirm the pregnancy.
Avoid stress, maintain pelvic hygiene and eat healthy diet.
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
