What Causes Abdominal Cramps, Nausea And Vomiting?

For the last couple of months my 12 year old has had reoccurring (about every 2 weeks) episodes of abdominal cramping, nausea, vomiting, and sometimes diarrhea. It keeps happening over and over. He has food allergies but is not eating anything that I know him to be allergic to. He has a doctor appointment at the end of December. Should I try to get in to the physician assistant sooner?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, I think should see a physician and run a few tests sooner than the date you already have.

I think his symptoms might indicate possible appendicitis and any gallbladder issues.
So, should investigate them further through complete blood count, abdominal ultrasound, abdominal ct-scan, fecal analysis.
We should rule out other pathology before confirming it's food allergy.

Hope this helps.
