Hi,

Swelling and pain in abdomen may be for many other reason then related to pregnancy and abortion. Most commonly it's excessive acid production in the stomach.

If her tests and scan are fine, I personally would advise to use some antacids like gaviscon, and acid supression drugs like omeprazole. If it don't settle then you should see your doctor for proper assessment and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
