HI my brother-in-law is in the hospital. Last summer he had a big red circle of a rash on his elbow and some sort of infection that put in him the hospital for a few days, never got an exact diagnosis. Two weeks ago went to hospital with fever, distended stomach and really loose bowels. Went back in the hospital 2 days ago distended stomach, fever, extreme vomiting and loose bowels. The hospital had him quarantined and did an MRI of his intestines but said they could not read the MRI . They made it sound like his insides were so messed up they did not know how to read it. Any thoughts? My biggest concern is that he is a heavy drinker and I mean drinks every night quite a bit. Wondering if that is part of the issue?
