Hi,

Several bad possibilities. It's fluid. This can be backing up from a cirrhotic liver or from pancreas inflammation causing the abdomen to shut down and also fill with fluid. These are bad diseases. Finding which is occurring is pretty easy. The liver scarring will need the fluid pumped out and might not be fixable short of a liver transplant.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
