What Causes Abdominal Pain After Having Food?

Have had pain in my stomach for three days increased pain after eating no diarrhea no vomiting a slight comfort when drinking cold liquids or warm tea with honey I don’t know if I should go see a doctor or just let this pass and sitting the pain subsides standing the pain increases Took Advil and it took the pain away was able to sleep but now I see in your website here that I should not take Advil

Hello,

Maybe, your pains are due to duodenal ulcer, a typical pain after meals is the symptoms. If it is while having food, then it could be gastric also, so little history can differentiate the ulcer.

If it is minor ulcer, then usually it does not require anything to be done. If it is more, then you can always get an endoscopy done to know the pathology and you can take sulfa coated syrups to treat the ulcer.
