What Causes Abdominal Pain After Receiving A Steroid Shot On The Hip?
On the 5th of January I had a steroid shot in my left hip.....I have been having lower abdominal pain since that injection. A CT scan this week didn t show anything wrong...but I still have the low cramping feeling....could this be at all related to the steroid sho
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Lower abdominal pains may not be caused by steroid shot. Also, the duration of your symptoms may exclude a cause related to steroid shot. Many possible cause exist. Some of these causes may iinclude: digestive disorders/gastrointestinal problems, UTI, and PID in females. I will advise you see your Doctor for examination since symptoms have been persistent.Depending on your Doctor's diagnostic orientation, tests may be requested that may help identify the exact cause.A CT scan may only help to diagnose organic abnormalities.Infectious/functional causes may not be diagnosed with CT. In the meantime, an anti-spamodic pain drug like spafon may help control your pains. Hope this will help Wish you good health.Feel free to write back if you need more help. Best Regards
