What Causes Abdominal Pain After Taking An I-pill?

I had sex for the first time on 10th sept which was unprotected and on the day my period was due. He didn t ejaculate inside me and within 12 hours i took an ipill and ate lunch right after i took the pill. Next day on 11th sept i started bleeding lightly and have abdomimal pain. While urinating also my abdomen hurts. My stomach is also a little swollen. Im confused whether the bleeding would come so fast or whether its my period? Or am i pregnant? Or whether the pain is due to having my virginity broken? And whether my period will come soon?

Hello,

Pain and bleeding may be due to the side effect of the emergency pill. It is common in a few people.

So use tablet tranexamic acid tablet mefenamic acid. If no improvement please get it done ultrasound abdomen and pelvis. Then consult your gynecologist she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
