What Causes Abdominal Pain Along With Mucus And Blood In Stool?

I am having abdominal pain accompanied by some mucous and blood clots in stool today. Abdominal pain has been on the increase for last 2 days. Had pelvic ultrasound done last week to look at ovaries and uterus. Not much but an ovarian cyst seen. GP is out of office today. Not sure if ER is next step as pain can be quite strong at times.

hi
thanks for posting in HCM
I have understood your concern

probabilities of your problem are
1.infective gastroenteritis
2.irritable bowel syndrome
3.inflammatory bowel disease
4.mass in the large intestine with bleed

you need to get done
1. USG abdomen
2.colonoscopy to see directly site of bleed and if necessary can do therapeutic measure to stop bleeding
3.hemogram to see for anemia
4.LFT to check any liver problems ,

I can suggest you to go to ER ,
you need evaluation and I V fluids and analgesics.

hole this helps you
