What Causes Abdominal Pain Along With Nausea?

I m a vegan and ate black beans Tuesday and Tuesday night I had severe right abdominal pains. Nausea but no vomiting. Abdomen even hurts when I cough. I thought it was appendix because it hurt so bad. Pain also in back below shoulder blades. Its now Friday and pain has let-up but still feel light headed and pain in lower abdomen. Is it the black beans causing gas or IBS? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to bloating.

I would recommend using simethicone medication daily.

I also recommend avoiding using medication that can trigger symptoms such as beans, caffeine etc.

I would recommend to take daily probiotics and drink a lot of liquids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
