What Causes Abdominal Pain And Bleeding In Early Pregnancy?
I took a pregnancy test on the 12th of this month. The test was positive and now I am experiencing light bleeding, blood clots(small), and painful cramps. I m not sure if this is normal or if I am having a miscarriage, since this is my first pregnancy. I have an appointment with my doctor on Friday and I do not want to go to the emergency room. Can I wait to see my doctor? or should I go to emergency room now? Thank you for your time.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Vaginal bleeding can be a serious serious symptom during early pregnancy. It could mean that you are prone to having miscarriage, As you are having cramping along with bleeding. It could also be a symptom of ectopic pregnancy.
However some bleeding or spotting doesnot mean miscarriage has take place, but you should consult a gynaecologist as you are prone to it.
You should rush to the emergency room. An ultrasound would be done to confirm if miscarriage hasn't taken place & also to ruleout ectopic pregnancy possibility.
Hope this information helps
