What Causes Abdominal Pain And Bloating Along With Flatulence?

Having lots of bloating with stomach/abdominal cramping/burning pain with foul smelling gas. Not constipated and no fever but some slight nausea w/o vomit. Have had urine , stool, and blood labs which all came back negative. Am using over the counter products to reduce symptoms such as Pepto, tylenol, ibprofin, asprin. dramimine, &azo in an alternating manner of doses. The pain returns so I use the otc meds to make the pain reduce. This has been going on for nearly 3 weeks. My PA wants to do a CT scan for diverticulitus. I am a 62 female that has has had a complete hysterectomy and also gall bladder removal- the prior 7 years ago and the latter 17 years ago, Any ideas such as what else may be the culprit? Thanks!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Since you have gallbladder removed you should be conscious about what you eat cause it will result in digestive issues like you are already experiencing, bloating, flatulence or abdominal pain.
Avoid eating oily, fatty food and divide your meals into smaller meals and take it 4 or 5 times a day. Take more vegetables and fruits, drink plenty of water. Take antacids or Omeprazole for relieve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K.
